95 - For A Special Friend

May I lay down beside you,
On this wet and stormy night.

May I whisper in your ear,
And tell you just how much I care.

May I put my arms around you,
And hold on tenderly so tight.

May I share with you the warmth,
That will entail dawns first golden light.

May I bring you saffron roses,
For when you are feeling down.

May I lend you my shoulder to weep upon,
I'll be there, just turn around.

May I be your guiding light,
For when life is at it's darkest.

May your feet be not set in stone,
As your wings set into flight.

May it be warmly remembered,
Who was there for you,
On that harsh winters night...
